2013 Meetings and Events

Each year the chapter has meetings and presentations in varying locations in Texas (usually Austin, Houston, Dallas, Waco, or East Texas areas convenient to the majority of members. Education on a subject of interest to professional genealogists and other advanced researchers is presented. Several times each year we offer free consultations to the public in the form of Ancestor Roadshows. These are modeled on the PBS Antiques Roadshow series. A person submits one focused research problem and receives suggestions from an experienced genealogist on steps that might help solve the problem. Members in proximity can also set up informal networking sessions in their local area to meet and work with each other on local projects or educational opportunities.
To prepare for a roadshow consultation please complete this form with all pertinent information on the genealogical question to be discussed. The more information you provide, the better the advice that can be offered.
